The Blacksmith: Equipment Progression Hub

Unlocked at Town Hall 16, the Blacksmith is the most strategically significant new building in modern Clash of Clans. It acts as the crafting and upgrade center for all Hero Equipment, introducing an entirely separate progression path using Ores.

Ore Storage Limitations

Upgrading the Blacksmith increases your maximum storage capacity for:

  1. Shiny Ore: Used for standard levels on all equipment.
  2. Glowy Ore: The core bottleneck, used for milestone levels (3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27).
  3. Starry Ore: Extremely rare, required exclusively for Legendary-tier equipment upgrades.

Blacksmith Level Requirements

You must upgrade your Blacksmith level-by-level to unlock high-tier Hero gear, like the Frozen Arrow, Fireball, and Spiky Ball. Plan your Blacksmith upgrades immediately upon reaching new Town Hall tiers.
