Book of Heroes: Bypassing the Hero Bottleneck

The Book of Heroes is a highly coveted Magic Item in Clash of Clans that instantly completes an active Hero or Hero Pet upgrade.

Strategic Value in Competitive Play

Heroes (Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Grand Warden, Royal Champion) are the most critical components of any attack composition. When a Hero is upgrading:

  • They are completely unusable in standard multiplayer raids.
  • They cannot participate in Clan Wars or Clan War Leagues (CWL).

This creates the "Hero Bottleneck" where players are forced to sit out of wars to upgrade their heroes. The Book of Heroes bypasses this issue entirely. By saving Books of Heroes strictly for CWL or competitive preparation, players can keep their heroes upgrading during quiet periods and instantly wake them up for war.
